Can Members edit their on-line information or request a new password if they have forgot it.

Yes, you can change your usernameemail address and password stored in your account. Or if you have forgotten your password, you can request to set a new one.  See below for details.


How do I change my username?

After you have logged into the website

  1. right mouse click on your link My Account in the upper right corner of the website;
  2. when you account page appears, right mouse click on the Edit tab;
  3. in the Username dialogue box, type in the new user name;
  4. in the Current password dialogue box, type your current password;
  5. scroll to the bottom of page, the click on Save button

How do I change my email address?

After you have logged into the website, follow the five steps above except in step 3 you will enter your new email address in the E-mail address dialogue box over-writing your old email address.  Don't forget step 5 and Save your changes.

How do I change my password?

After you have logged into the website, follow the five steps above except in step 3 you will enter your new password in the Password dialogue box and that same new password in the Confirm password dialogue box.   Don't forget step 5 and Save your changes.


What do I do if I forgot my password?

  1. Click on the Log in/Register link

  2. Right mouse click on the Request new password tab

  3. Enter you username or e-mail address in the dialogue box

  4. Click on E-mail new password to send a request to create a new password.  You will not actually be sent a new password; instead, you will be sent an email giving you instructions on how to reset your password and a link to access your account.  This link can only be used once to log in and will lead you to a page where you can SET YOUR NEW PASSWORD. This link expires after one day and nothing will happen if it's not used. To reset your password, you will have to enter your new password twice in the boxes provided (scroll down the page to find them).  Once you have entered your new password twice then you must SAVE the page (by going to the bottom and clicking on the SAVE button).

  5. The above Directions on how to reset your password will be immediately emailed to you.  (If you don't receive an email from Thames Valley Occassional Teachers in the next couple of minutes after sending the request, check your Junk Mail folder.)


My Email has been hacked, can I still use it to login?

Yes! However, as soon as you have logged in with it, please go to your My Account page and change your the email (see above for directions) to your new email address and SAVE.
